Our driver, Glen, picked us up at 7:15am at the Delano West Entrance. There was 7 of us and we picked up another family of 3 for a full Jeep. The air conditioning worked well. The Pink Jeep sits up high, has large side windows and an intercom system that Glen uses to talk about the sites to and from The Hoover Dam. We learned about the 4 Mountain Ranges that border the city of Las Vegas. Our tour was in July, so the temp was 108 ! Glen made sure we had water to stay hydrated and watched over us to insure no one struggled in the heat by finding shade and shortening the amount of time in the sun. This tour had us back to hotel by 1PM. This tour included an elevator ride 500 feet down to view the diversion tunnels and the turbine generators. Each stop was narrated with information of what we were seeing and the history of how the Hoover Dam was constructed in 1931. Our two grandchildren, 3 and 7, were somewhat bored with the tour. However, I think it is an awesome experience.

Glen was a knowledgeable, friendly guide who provided just the right amt of information. He was timely, trustworthy, and receptive to questions. Hoover Dam is a worthwhile visit for its breathtaking scenery and interesting look at the dynamics of dam construction and use.

A well organised tour. From pick up to arriving at the dam then having the tour inside the dam was very well orchestrated. I learn't so much about Vegas and of course the Dam. John you were the perfect tour guide and the stop to the lake and park was lovely!
