bus driver and tour guide were very helpful. the visit to the hoover dam was quick but to get to the grand canyon, no moss can grow on the wheels. not crazy about the danish i think muffins and fruit would have worked well but can't please everyone including me... apparently. i would recommend that everyone take the 2.5 mile walk along the canyon but if you pre pay you won't receive an enticing coupon to use in Vegas. we pre bought our tour and the guide is not suppose to give out the coupons to pre bought walking tour. the sandwich lunch was good. choice of ham/turkey/veg and the sandwiches are quite large with a fruit, chips and cookie. for supper we stopped at the in/out burger and were told the service would be quick-yes it was they knew we were coming and ready. if you are at the end ordering however, you will not have enough time to eat your meal and need to bring it with you. our return we passed by the dam again and you need to be on the right to get a picture
We desperately wanted to see the Grand Canyon, so the hours spent in the bus were a necessary evil. The good thing was that between our charismatic driver, Carlito, and the humorous and interesting tour guide, Layla, we were well entertained and looked after for the whole time. There were lots of stops along the way to break the boredom, as well as a couple of movies playing to pass the time. It was a day well spent. We managed to spend enough time at the Canyon to see the main aspects and take loads of photos. We were allowed enough time to buy a few souvenirs, which is only possible if everyone follows the time guidelines and doesn't delay the bus in any way. The bus was very comfy and they provided sandwiches, water, and a 'pie stop' along the way. Layla was so good with our son, Luke - she's great. Carlito had loads of jokes and interesting anecdotes along the way. We were thoroughly entertained. This was a great experience; if you are considering a tour, this should be it. Thanks!
