Experience

Highlights
  • Board a hot air balloon for an inspiring and peaceful experience
  • Take this unique chance opportunity to experience this beautiful setting of natural beauty from a bird's-eye-view
  • Enjoy fantastic views of Pahrump, the Mojave Desert, and the mountains in the distance
Full description

Discover the Mojave Desert from a new perspective as you glide overhead in a hot air balloon. Glimpse wildlife down below and enjoy birds-eye views of Death Valley and the Nopah Mountain Range. Partake in a traditional champagne toast at the end and learn about the history of hot air balloons.

Meet your pilot and crew approximately 90 minutes prior to sunrise. It's an early start, but seeing the sunrise and scenery from a hot air balloon is an experience like none other. From the local partner's check-in office, transfer to the launch field in Pahrump, an hour west of the Las Vegas Strip. Upon take-off, there is no sensation of movement, rather one of the ground dropping away. During the flight, which lasts 45-60 minutes, get spectacular birds-eye views of the Spring and Nopah Mountain Ranges, Death Valley, and Eastern California in the distance.

As you drift silently and peacefully over the countryside, watch for desert wildlife, snap photos and even talk with envious onlookers down below. Upon landing, participate in a traditional champagne toast, hear the story of how hot air ballooning began, and how it led to modern-day aviation as we know it. Plan to be away for up to 6 hours in total, allowing for check-in, travel to the launch location, a safety briefing, set-up and pack-up of the balloon as well as the return drive back to your original meeting location.

OMG! This was bar FAR the best thing that I have ever spent money on!! Our flight got cancelled on the original day that it was scheduled, but we were able to move it to the next day, which went off without a hitch!! The entire crew was a GREAT bunch, but especially the pilot, Geoff! We got to go up to almost 6000 feet, which when I booked this, it was my hope that we would get to go high, and they did not disappoint!! If I ever go back to Vegas, I will definitely go back for another ride! THANK YOU SO MUCH for being such awesome, gracious hosts!!
