Enjoy a bit of peaceful countryside, visit cozy villages, and take in the fresh air on a short walk. On this lazy Sunday morning excursion you’ll also stop for a picnic, and possibly spend some time shopping at a traditional local market.
What to Expect
Start off your 4.5-hour tour in a cozy village, having coffee and typical Moya bizcocho cake in an old-style coffee shop that’s overlooking an impressive cliff.
Afterwards, you’ll head out on an easy half-hour walk through the Tilos de Moy nature reserve. Breathe in the fresh air produced by the laurels, and take in the variety of endemic plants.
Anyone unable to join the walk can wait in a sitting area or restaurant (if open) near the entrance to the nature reserve.
For the last stop on the tour, you’ll visit the historical center of Teror, a pilgrimage site that’s home to the important Basilica of Our Lady of the Pine.
At a traditional market held every Sunday, you’ll be able to taste chorrizo de Teror, sweets made by the monks from the local monastery, cheeses and other local products.
