We paid extra for luxury sleeper bus which was ok but never instructed on how to use screen in pod or adjust bed. Had to pay for washrooms on way and no toilet on bus. There were two of us and lucky to have a guide to ourselves who was lovely and opened up about her life which was enlightening. You will probably have a couple of women following you and after some time will want you to buy some thing. Wish we had known this at the beginning as they had a steep hill to get back up after we realized and bought a couple of things and would have done so in the beginning to save them the trek back up hill. The Homestay was surprisingly good a long with the food. The trek was moderate and slippery in sections going up and down and recommend having stick which our guide made for me out of bamboo people in Sapa are very poor so please give a few vnd when you can Was pretty disgusted that many did not tip their guides who they had spent two days with and all were very helpful. Loved the trip

This was for sure the highlight of our trip to Vietnam! We got to know the local Hmong communities and their traditions. Everything was very authentic and our guides very friendly. The landscapes and hikes among the rice terraces and the bamboo forest were amazing. The only thing we didn't like was the transportation by sleeping bus to and from Hanoi: we arrived both times two hours late. The driver was pretty rude when we asked the reasons of the delay since the traffic was not really heavy.

Wonderful tour of the villages in Sa Pa and the beautiful rice terraces. Dely, our guide is a gem, absolutely brilliant - knowledgeable and funny, she taught us a lot about the local way of life. Super recommendable!
