Full description
Enjoy a trip to the south of Lanzarote and discover beautiful vineyards, Timanfaya National Park and the volcanic landscape. After pick-up from your hotel head towards the south through the beautiful farming villages of Tao, Tiagua and Mancha Blanca. The landscape begins to change dramatically and as you draw near the Timanfaya National Park. The volcanic eruptions of the 18th and 19th century formed this amazing landscape in a dramatic process of creation and destruction in the same instant. Your visit to Timanfaya will afford you a better understanding of life here and the origins of volcanoes. Nearby are the camels, if you wish you can take a ride for 6€ per person for 20 minutes. Then, head to the west coast, or as it is known in Lanzarote, the Lava Coast. Take a short walk to the viewpoint from where you can enjoy beautiful views of the Green Lagoon. Finally discover an exceptional way to grow vines in La Geria with over 100,000 craters and over 80,000 dry-stone walls. The tour ends with your return to your hotels or accomodation.

A intensive program in only five hours. My compliments. From a statue of a farmer and museum and cave in San Bartolome, to a winery, to camels and a camelmuseum and the Timafaya experience and also el Golfo with the green lake. For us it was long enough en we were glad that the tour started around midi and not early in the morning. Good explanation by the guides! Not longer than necessary in the bus.

Our guide Nazareth was very well prepared and nice, it's clear she enjoy doing her job. Her touch gave to the tour a plus. The demonstrations at park timanfaya did not impress me but it's because I am not so much into guided tours and prefer instead to join the experience on my own, thing that you cannot do inside the park. If you are sitting in the isolate seat on the bus you won't enjoy it very much as there is a limited view, most of the time is spent on board. Charco Verde is a nice spot, ruined by the multitude of people taking selfies and the rushing stop. Most of the time is spent to pick up/drop off other people to their hotels, for me it has been an opportunity to see other areas of the island I did not know. Overall a good experience.

I think it is a good activity if it's your first time in Lanzarote, but it's all very "touristic". Stop in La Geria was nice but very short and crowded, and after that we decided not to go for the camel ride (11 euro per couple). Best part was the tour with the bus inside the the national park, which you cannot explore by yourself: we skipped a super long queue at the entrance (bonus), then after a little demonstration we went for the tour. Two downsides: if you are not sitting next to window, your view may be not the greatest; the guide inside the park was an audio guide, and the sound quality was not the best. Overall I suggest this activity if you have little time, otherwise look for a small group activity like a trekking with a guide.
