Enjoy the incredible views of the volcanic island of Timanfaya on a guided day trip from Las Palmas. Visit the green lake along the rugged coastline of El Golfo. Stop for lunch in Yaiza and head to La Geria for a wine tasting. Finally, explore the volcanic tunnel and caverns of Los Jameos del Agua. Start by going to the southern part of the island throughout the lava coast with a panoramic view of Las Salinas de Janubio and Los Hervideros. Then, visit the sailor’s village of El Golfo to see the green lagoon. Continue your journey towards the volcanos and feel the heat of volcanoes and craters. Then, visit the Timanfaya National Park and discover the Volcanoes Route. Enjoy lunch at Yaiza and stop at one of the wineries of La Geria to taste delicious wine. From there, head north and pass by the valley of the thousand palm trees. Then, arrive to Los Jameos del Agua to visit this natural cave associated with the artist César Manriquethe.

This all day trip takes you to some amazing sights around Lanzarote. However, presumably due to local laws the time in the lava fields is entirely on the coach. You can only do the "route of the volcanos" on an official coach trip and whilst the views are out of this world we prefer to get out and explore so this wasn't ideal for us. If you do want to see the lava fields then definitely do it on a coach tour to see the route of the volcanos and overtake the traffic jams from people in hire cars.

We were the only English speaking in the group. The guide still made sure to make us feel included and kept checking how we are doing. Overall the tour was nicely planned and efficient. The lunch was just too late that our brain simply shut off on our 1 hour journey to lunch. Apart from that a great tour with interesting places to visit.

The tour was excellent, great tour guide & driver, informative, lots of variety. one thing I would check is that they tell you to wait at a specific bus stop, that wasn't in our instructions, it would also help if they described the bus in some way as there are so many, it would just ease the stress.
