  • Admire some of the exotic plants and animal species adapting to the tides
  • Enjoy a locally prepared lunch at a fish farm/floating restaurant
  • Stop in to explore the mysterious Bat Cave and to see some insect-eating bats
Full description
Depending on the tidal conditions, you can begin the tour at the coast and make your way upriver through the lush Kilim Karst Geopark, or begin upriver and float down to the coast through a network of meandering river passages. Along the way, stop to explore the mysteries of the Bat Cave, or to observe some of the many exotic plants and animal species adapting ingenious ways to thrive in a habitat dictated by the ebb and flow of the ocean tides, including kingfishers, herons, mudskippers, and monitor lizards. After about 1.5 hour into your kayaking adventure, arrive at a local fish farm/floating restaurant where you can enjoy an optional lunch (if you select the option with lunch). Savor locally prepared ingredients including seabass and refreshments. Once you've finished your lunch and had a short rest, begin the leisurely journey back to your hotel.

Small group, therefore a lot of peace during kayaking. Guide knew heaps about the area. The animals are fed at the Eagle watching place, which is nice to watch. We were allowed to swim at a beach and the best part: our guide took 100+ photos of us during the tour, so we had a lot of photos and videos of ourselves afterwards. Top!!!!

Since we have never kayaked before, Vauzan gave us a briefing at the beginning. Everything worked wonderfully. The tour was absolutely worth it for us. We saw many animals (crabs, jumping fish, eagles, snakes, monitor lizards, kingfishers, etc.). Vauzan pointed out many animals to us and gave us very good information. The drive through the mangroves was really impressive. The program was rounded off by a short visit to the bat cave - very interesting. All in all, from our point of view, a very successful tour with a great guide who puts a lot of effort into it.

I didn't know the difference between the email time that came in English and the pick-up time that came in Japanese a day ago, so I waited in the lobby for quite some time, and the pick-up was delayed by 30 minutes. I happened to get help from someone who can speak Japanese, and I contacted the tour company to find out the delay, but I'm worried about what happens if I don't understand anything. Somehow all in English? I only knew it, but by riding a kayak and feeling nature, everything was okay! Kayaking is exhausting. If you don't get sunscreen on your feet, it will hurt!
