Your 4-hour journey takes you on a voyage of exploration through the mangroves of Langkawi, to discover exotic plants and animal species. Many of them survive by ingenious methods in a dynamic environment of constant change, dictated by the rise and fall of the tides. Following a short drive to the jetty, get on board a boat and explore the mangrove forests and ancient limestone outcrops of the northeast of the island. Mangrove forests play an essential part in maintaining the ecological balance of the world. They influence the climate, provide shelter, and act as major nurseries for fish and shrimps. As you drift through the mangroves, look out for the bizarre land walking fishes. Watch out too for bright flashing kingfishers, and look up to see eagles and kites. If you are very lucky, you might see curious otters and playful dolphins. And don’t forget the little critters, however creepy and crawly they might seem. They are all playing a vital role in this unique environment. The optional lunch is a fixed menu comprising of chicken fried rice and iced drink of the day. Your tour begins bright and early, your guide picking you up between 8:30 and 9:00 AM, en route to the Langkawi jetty. As you head to Pulau Dayang Bunting, the first island on your itinerary, you’ll stop along the way to feed Langkawi’s famous eagles, who will dive majestically into the water to retrieve pieces of chicken that your boatman chucks off the side of the boat. After the 20 minute ride, you’ll arrive at the unspoiled paradise of Pulau Dayang Bunting, known for its vast freshwater lake, surrounded on all sides by forested mountains. Rent some paddle-boats, snorkel, or just have a leisurely dip in the lake — it’s up to you. After exploring the area and taking in the lush vistas, head back to the boat, bound for Pulau Singa Besar. Spend an exciting 4 hours exploring 8 beautiful islands of Dayang Bunting on your very own jet ski. Continue to the top station at 708 meters above sea level where the majestic peaks of Machinchang mountain create an impressive scenery.
