Discover the secrets and the traditional techniques in a true hunting of the precious white or black truffle with a professional "Trifolao" and his inseparable dog. Understand how, where & why truffles grow up in our area, learn the differences between black & white truffle, how dog is trained and enjoy the intense scent. Truffles found during the hunting are not included in the price but you can be purchased from the hunter. White truffle season: from 21st of September to 31st of January - black truffle: different types at different times of the year. During the autumn season, warm and comfortable clothing is recommended, rain coats and rubber boots are available. You will meet your guide in Alba or a closer village (the meeting point can be change), then be driven through thesurrounding hills to reach the "Trifolao" in one of its secret spots in the middle of nature. The transfer is not included, you will need your own car to follow the guide (10/15 minutes driving). Transport by hired car with a driver is provided on request. The tour usually is shared with other guests; traveling alone & reserving for one an extra charge of € 70 is required (not in case someone joins that tour).

Arrive at the meeting point in the vineyard and begin your authentic Italian experience. During the wine tasting tour, visit the vineyards and the wine cellar (weather permitting). Following the tour, taste 6 different wines, beginning with the Piedmont DOC Chardonnay, moving on to various types of Barbera d'Asti and Nebbiolo, and concluding with the Moscato d'Asti DOCG. Visit a family-run winery nestled in the rolling hills and taste 5 or 6 red wines, including Barolo, the "king of wines." Dive into the secrets of Piedmont wines with local producers in the cellars. Next, take a walking tour of Alba, situated at the heart of the UNESCO-awarded landscape, home to medieval treasures and renowned as the top gourmet destination of the Piedmont region. See the world-famous white truffle exhibition on weekends in October and November. Indulge in a breathtaking view from a medieval castle perched on a hill, offering a sweeping panorama of vineyards and distant mountains. Savor another glass of wine in the region's oldest enoteca (wine shop), adding a touch of history to your experience in the Langhe wine region.

We always start with the tasting of our 7 references, during which presentations are made and we all sit together to taste the wines accompanied by some typical local products. We tell the story of the wine you are drinking, how it was grown, when it was still grapes in the vineyard, and how it was processed in the cellar. Meanwhile, the dishes also arrive, within which you can find numerous typical local products, each to be paired with a different wine. We start with the Roero Arneis, the only white among the reds, a fresh and fruity wine: it is accompanied by tuna sauce. We then move on to red wines with Dogliani, which we usually pair with salami. First the Dogliani DOCG "Sambù", an easy to drink and light wine, which introduces the Dogliani DOCG "Superiore", more structured and complex. Nebbiolo and Barbera are paired with lard and bacon: the former is fresh and young, the latter is soft and fruity. Subsequently we will taste the Langhe "Excelso" blend of several wines to be tasted with meliga pasta (typical Piedmontese biscuit). And then the last but not least wine, the king of wines, the wine of kings: Barolo, to be tasted with cheese and cugnà (halfway between jam and sauce, it is made with fresh fruit and dried fruit ). After the tastings, we move to the cellar, where you can see how we work to create the wines you have just tasted: fermentation, the decanting and aging tanks, and finally the bottling and labeling phase.

In the silence and atmospheres of the woods, an opportunity to live the most exciting experience of a holiday in Langhe Monferrato Roero hills. Discover traditions and anecdotes about the precious underground mushroom, see the dog at work and learn the training techniques and the relationship with the truffle hunter, learn about truffle plants, deepen the aromas, breathe in the scents ... emotions to remember! Along unique landscapes in the world, declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco, among panoramas to be contemplated as a palette of changing colors of a thousand shades that make our hills magical and unforgettable.

All tours begin in Monforte d'Alba, where you'll meet your guide. You'll need your own transportation to follow the guide on a 10-minute drive to the forest area and later to the Enoteca. (A transfer service from Monforte is available upon request for an additional fee, with limited spots.) The experience starts with an introduction to truffles, covering their types, growth, and where they can be found. Upon reaching the forest, you'll meet the truffle hunter and his specially trained dogs before starting the hunt. Please note that any truffles found during the hunt are not included in the price. The walk takes place in a wooded area, so comfortable, outdoor-appropriate clothing is recommended, especially during the colder months. If needed, rubber boots will be provided. At the end of the hunt take your car and head towards Monforte d'alba for the wine tasting, enjoy the view of the Langhe, which has been included by the UNESCO Committee on the World Heritage List as a landscape of high aesthetic value, thrilling in all its shades in every season of the year, especially in autumn, when foliage lends a magical aspect to the Langhe landscapes: every hill and every slope has its own color, and an expert eye can recognize the type of wine being grown, distinguishing the yellow leaves of Nebbiolo (later to become Barolo and Barbaresco) from the bright red ones of Dolcetto and the purplish, almost brown ones of Barbera. Once in Monforte search the Monvino Enoteca and Enjoy the wine tasting, a perfect closure of this unforgettable experience.

Tour the winery and learn about the wine-making process and take in sweeping views of the Langhe landscape surroundings. Taste 4 high-end Nebbiolo and Barolo wines served with local breadsticks. Arrive at the winery and begin with a tour of the estate. Hear the history of the winery as well as the explanation of the methods and techniques of wine production. Follow the traditional journey of high-quality wine production, from the grape harvest in the vineyard located in the surrounding area to the final stage of the bottling. After, it is time to taste a selection of 4 local wines, including 1 Barolo, while a professional sommelier will explain to you in-depth the particularity of those Italian excellencies.

Explore the best culinary traditions in Turin, browse among the most renown dishes, and discover the recipes that Turinese people appreciate. During this tour, you will taste some of the following specialties (according to product availability): • Handmade breadsticks: taste handmade breadsticks in one of the best wine bars of the city, alongside an extraordinary glass of wine from Piedmont. • Cheeses and cured meats from Piedmont: the Piedmont region has a longstanding experience in cheeses; taste some of the ones most loved in Italy • Agnolotti: traditional stuffed pasta from the Monferrato area, filled with meat and vegetables, served since centuries with the sauce of roasted meat, arrosto • Tajerin: delicious fresh pasta, directly from the farmers’ tradition in the Langhe area • Steak tartare: this is a meat dish made from raw ground Piedmont beef meat. It is often served with a raw egg yolk, and often on rye bread. For those who do not love raw meat, you can instead try a delicious and creamy veggie pie, topped with local melted cheeses. • Handmade chocolate confections: Turin is the capital of chocolate, in this very city the first praline was ever confectioned in 1800. Taste some of the most loved chocolate treats in the region.  • Bicerin: traditional warm beverage of coffee, milk, and chocolate of different textures. A delicacy which remained unaltered since 1763 and the sweetest way for concluding our tour.

Visit the Piedmont wine region, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and tour a famous winery. Enjoy a wine-tasting of famous vintages, such as Dolcetto & Gavi, Barolo, Moscato, and Brachetto. Located in Barolo, near the beautiful medieval village of Castiglione, is a family-run winery. Visit the winery to learn about winemaking techniques and traditions. Follow the friendly winery owner as they accompany you through the vineyards and continue to the cellar. While in the cellar taste 7 different wines paired with local cold cuts and cheese. Also, enjoy trying local olive oil and two different Italian liqueurs.
