Start your adventure at one of Tahoe's most relaxed and accessible beaches, Tahoe Vista. A local favorite for decades, this beach provides ample parking, onsite restrooms, plenty of shade, and picnic areas. It is the perfect beach to begin your self-guided paddle boarding adventure.

After you receive your gear, choose a direction and paddle at your own pace. Pack a picnic lunch and head to one of many local beaches that dot the coastline. Enjoy the crystal clear waters of Lake Tahoe on your own schedule and paddle along the North Shore from King's Beach to Tahoe City or to Crystal Bay in Incline Village, Nevada. Explore for a half day or full day depending on option selected.

As your day comes to an end, paddle back to Tahoe Vista and relax on the beach after a great day on the water.

Tahoe Vista Beach is located at 7010 N Lake Blvd, Tahoe Vista, CA 96148 (corner of N. Lake Blvd and National Ave). You will see a pop-up tent with yellow kayaks on the beach. Check in with beach staff for your rental.

Know before you go

  •  All participants must know how to swim.
  •  For your paddling safety, you will be provided with life jackets with all rentals as well as leashes with paddleboard rentals. These should both be worn at all times.

I really enjoyed renting Paddle boards and Kayaks from Lake Tahoe North Shore paddle boarding. Everyone there is very helpful and nice I would rent these from this company again. One thing I will say is that we struggled to find the actual company we rented from because the name of the company seems to be different than the one on this 3rd party website, they also had very wrong instructions as to how to find them. I would book this with the company directly than booking from this 3rd party- GetYourGuide
