This was an amazing trip with an incredible guide. Mikael is passionate about what he does and truly wants everyone to have an amazing time. My husband and I are still talking about our day. We felt it was a fabulous way to experience authentic Portuguese food, wine, and port. We visited a vineyard where the owner told us about his farm and its history. There, we also tasted various wines paired with food, and opened bottles in “interesting” ways. It was one of the highlights of the day. The beauty of the Douro Valley is extraordinary and Mikael provided us with many opportunities to take pictures. We had a lovely lunch where Mikael explained the dishes and the wine pairings. Our last visit was at a small winery where we were made to feel incredibly welcome. We learned a bit about the history of the winery and tasted some lovely wines and some incredible port. Mikael kindly sent us recommendations and pictures and videos of our day. This tour is a must for anyone visiting Porto
