Cruise to Cotubanama National Park and South Saona with this tour with options to leave from Bayahibe Village, Dominicus, Punta Cana, Bavaro, Uvero Alto, Juan Dolio, and Boca Chica areas. Select the group or private option. Stop at Cotubanama National Park and navigate in front of El Penon where the English-speaking guide will give you some information about the history of this cliff and the indigenous Tainos, the first inhabitants of the island. Sail on to see the mangroves. Glide over to the sea to Saona Island to see the charming fishing village of Mano Juan. Walk through the colorful houses and shops in the village before going to the turtle nursery. Learn about the turtles, and see hatchings if they have left their shell. Have an authentic Dominican meal in a restaurant with a splendid view of Saona beach. After lunch, leave for Canto de La Playa for two hours of relaxing and snorkeling. Finish, at a natural pool to see huge starfishes, swim, and sip rum.

Visit the Ron Barcelo Rum Factory where you can see the live production process, learn about its history, and taste excellent products. First, see the whole production process where you visit the aging cellar so you can appreciate the evaporation process, then the barrel workshop where it is prepared scraping and burning before aging, then the bottling and packaging process. A vehicle will be ready for you at the taxi area near the exit of the cruise terminal, where everyone from your cruise will gather. Prepare for a special trip to Saona Island! We'll start by exploring Penon, where our guide will tell us about its history and the Taino people. After that, we'll navigate through mangroves, passing by thriving Palétuvier trees. When we arrive at Saona Island, we'll visit Mano Juan village, seeing local life among colorful houses and small shops. We'll also stop by a turtle nursery run by locals, which shows their conservation efforts, although we might not see newborns due to seasonal changes. For lunch, you can taste Dominican cuisine while enjoying stunning views of Saona Beach. During lobster season (July 1st - February 29th), it's available for $25 per person. Later, we'll head to Canto de la Playa, a beautiful beach perfect for relaxing or snorkeling. Our final stop is a natural pool where you can see large starfish (please avoid touching them). Guests can swim in the shallow waters and enjoy refreshing drinks, ending the journey with unforgettable memories when we return to Bayahibe port. The tour ends in Bayahibe, where your transport will be waiting to take you back to La Romana port.

Begin the tour with hotel pickup in Punta Cana between 7:00 am and 8:00 am, and travel to the meeting point from where we will depart by bus to the port of La Romana. Board a boat or catamaran to your destination. Make a stop at a coral reef to practice snorkeling. Marvel at the variety of fauna on the Caribbean seabed: tropical fish, algae, and colorful coral formations. Move on to Catalina Island after the snorkeling stop,, a protected islet located within the Cotubanamá National Park.
