Full description
Embark on a half-day afternoon tour through La Paz and discover the highlights of Bolivia's capital city. Learn about the history, culture, and traditions of the city and its local people. You will be picked up at 2:30 PM from your accommodation by a bilingual local guide.

Start your tour with a visit to the Calle de las Brujas, which is also known as the Witches' Market where you can find interesting handicrafts and watch practitioners of traditional Andean medicine. See where people from the Aymara tribe purchase their la mesa, a sacrificial offering for the Pachamama, the mother earth deity.

Continue walking to the exteriors of the Basilica of San Francisco, a church in carved stone that can be classified inside the denominated baroque mestizo. Go to Plaza Murillo to admire the Presidential Palace, National Congress of Bolivia, Cathedral of La Paz and other historic monuments.

Enjoy the stunning panoramic view from a lookout point and gaze at the natural beauty of the Andes. Finally, reach the Valley of the Moon, which is located south of downtown La Paz. Marvel at the natural formations that as a result of erosion and its great composition of clay, rain and wind have created a valley of stalagmites.
