Our fantastic guide Max, who was born, raised, and lives in El Alto above La Paz, was a great personality and a font of information about the history and folklore of the places we visited. There wasn’t a question we asked he didn’t know the answer to. He anticipated our questions and added folk tales to enhance the feeling of mysticism surrounding places like The Witches Market and Shamans. Our small group of six from France, UK, and USA spent a wonderful 3-plus hours exploring the side streets, cemetery, and riding the thrilling gondolas of La Paz / El Alto. Highly recommended, especially if you are lucky enough to be guided by Max.

We had a great time as a family exploring La Paz with Max. He has a contagious love for his city and a ton of knowledge about its history, culture, and customs. We enjoyed learning more about the Cemetery, riding public busses and gondolas, and seeing the Witch Market and Witch Doctors in action. A great way to spend an afternoon!

We had the best time with our guide Max. Although it was raining about half of the tour he never gave us the idea he was in a rush or bothered by the rain or the fact we were with only two persons on this tour. The cementary was a nice experience. Max told us a lot and took the time to answer all our questions. By using the cable cart you had a nice view over the city. Highlight was walking around in El Alto at the witch market were we had the chance to visit a Yatiri (Shaman). We enjoyed every minute of the tour. Great experience! If you want to see a different part of La Paz I reccomend this tour.
