La Mata Park, Torrevieja

Explore the natural beauty of the La Mata Nature Park in Torrevieja on a guided walking tour. Keep any eye out for local wildlife like flamingos along the way.  Meet your guide at entrance of the La Mata Nature Park and listen to a brief introduction about the park's unique lagoons. Hear about Torrevieja and start along the route of the vineyards. Learn about the region's importance in the production of wines both in the north of Spain and in the south of France.  Stop to see a small 15th century bit of construction that reveals some of the park's facinating history. Continue on to a picturesque spot where you can take in the spectacular lagoon. Have the chance to spot the resident and migratory birds like flamingos. Make your way to the tables that are set up for the tasting experience. Sip on two other DO wines from Alicante. Learn how to correctly pair the wines with artisanal and local products such as 2 extra virgin oils from the area, 2 homemade cheeses, and 2 tapas dishes.  Due to the high degrees in summer, we change this experience for Blind wine tasting and tasting of Local Products in the Pink Lagoon.
