We had a great time! The people are very friendly, but even better was our guide, Olivia! it was her first time taking a group out and she was excellent. Very knowledgeable and professional and very personable. She told us a lot about the natural eco system off the beach and along the coast as well as the animals we would possibly see. When we got to the cave, she hopped in the water and got behind us with flippers to power each of our boats into and out of the cave. She was a lot of fun and the whole experience was a great adventure!! Ask for Olivia and tip your guides well! They work really hard! 😁🦈🪸🐦‍⬛🦭🐠 🛶🌊

Full description

Take a lesson before the tour begins and grab all the necessary kayak equipment. The tour takes place in the La Jolla Ecological Reserve. There are 3 different habitats in the reserve, and on your tour you will have the chance paddle to all three - the rocky reefs, sandy flats, and kelp beds.

Paddle to the seven caves of La Jolla and go into the Clam’s cave, which is the largest cave on the tour. See the local marine life on the tour including sea lions, harbor seals, Garibaldi, leopard sharks, and the occasional dolphin.

Calvin was our guide and he was engaging and knowledgeable!! We saw lots of leopard sharks which was cool! Calvin was safety first but in a friendly and respectful manner! Definitely a highlight of our stay and we highly recommend!!!
