Full description
You start your tour at 9:00 AM when you are picked up and transfer to the first park located about 25 minutes away on the north side of the Arenal Volcano. Here you will hike along 3.5 miles (6km) path starting at 1640 feet (500m) above sea level climbing to over 2625 feet (800m) to reach the base of the volcano. There you will find a solid lava field. Then you will go to the green lagoon found right in front of the volcano where you can swim and jump into the water. After your time in the green lagoon, you will be served a typical Costa Rican lunch and drinks.  After lunch, you will go to the Observatory Lodge. There you will find hanging bridges, a waterfall in the middle of the forest where you can swim. Enjoy a tour of the area and its viewpoints where you can wait for the sunset while looking out over Arenal Lake. Then travel to the hot springs of Tabacón to enjoy 1.5-hours in the hot springs. Enjoy alcoholic drinks and a volcanic mud mask. After relaxing in the hot springs you will be taken back to your hotel.

One of the best day trips we’ve ever done. So much packed into one day for such good value. Our guide Wilmer “Jungle Man” was fanstastic. He was great fun, knowledgable and made us feel safe the whole way. The hike and views were beautiful, we swam in both the lake and the waterfall and stopped to see lots of wildlife including a special trip to see frogs. We got to go to the natural(!) hot springs in the dark(!) which was a unique experience, much more exciting than our hotel springs. We could not recommended this trip more, the whole day was perfect. Pura Vida!

Didnt see any frogs, didnt get the free drink ... price very high for what we saw and did. I paid 100 $ for climbing and not see much because it was cloudy (wich I know we cant control) but I taught the rest of the day would cheer me up, but it did not.
