Darren our guide went above and beyond! We drove around trying to spot sloths and managed to see five and a baby! We also saw turtles, monkeys, lizards and more. He was very knowledgeable! He even took the majority of our sloth photos through his telescope making sure we got as many as we wanted. He was amazing at spotting all of these animals in their NATURAL HABITAT! We did not go to any farms or zoo like places. All of the animals we saw were out in the wild. Just as it should be. Thank you Darren!!

We had such a wonderful time on this “lazy” tour! Our guide, Roberto, found all of the best places to find sloths. We were very lucky to find 2 and 3 toes sloths, and even 2 different mothers with their babies. It was a great adventure that I would recommend to anyone interested in seeing sloths in the wild.

Full description

The Arenal area is well known for its diverse wildlife, and as well as the 2 different Sloth species: two-toed sloths and three-toed sloths. Another most wanted species sought for their colors, unique features and history are the multicolored toucan and the blue jeans dart frog. On your search for these three beautiful animals, your knowledgeable guide will drive you around La Fortuna's beautiful spotting areas, where you will search for wildlife together. Birds, iguanas and monkeys are among the animals that you might also encounter whilst on this enjoyable safari. Breakfast and snacks are arranged according to the customers' best interest, and all the animals that you will encounter on this tour will be in their natural habitats. At the conclusion of your tour, you will be returned back to your nearby accommodation.

An amazing tour with great guides! We had Ernesto and Geraldo, who are very knowledgeable about sloths and were able to spot them from quite far away, which is quite an art. They were really friendly and helped us take some amazing photos using a telescope thingy. The company did not offer collection from our hotel, so we emailed them to ask and they said they would do it for us anyway (the van is air conditioned). I emailed at 7am the day before, and they responded by 9am. We finished with a nice breakfast at a lodge, where you could have a typical Costa Rican breakfast, pancakes, or eggs on toast (all with fruit to start). The food was good and the coffee very welcome! I found this tour great value for money and would highly recommend it.
