What people are saying about La Fortuna

It was a great day. As is with a lot of the tours, the guide can make or break it. Raul was amazing. Knowledgeable. Attuned to the individual needs of the group. Clearly enjoyed sharing the region with tourists. Saw some wonderful animals at Hanging Bridges. He was skilled in both spotting and identifying the diversity of wildlife you could encounter. And we were all happy to see both Black Howler monkeys and Spider Monkeys. The waterfall was stunning, but really shouldn't be billed as a place to go swimming as you could go in the water downstream of the falls themselves and the water was a bit chilly. I was also happy i was in relatively good shape, the 500 stairs down weren't an issue, but it might have a been a problem for others. The chance to rest at the top and snag a beer was much appreciated. Lunch was delicious.

The tour was awesome!! Our two guides Rico and Carlos were super humorous and always put everyone in a good mood. Our driver Berny brought us safely from point A to point B. Our first stop was at the suspension bridges, where we could see a lot of animals with the help of the telescope that the guides had with them. Next we go to the volcano where Rico told us what happened in the 1968 eruption. Then there was a 2-hour hike on the former lava flow. We then drove to lunch, which was held at a local restaurant. It was delicious. Afterwards we drove to our last stop, the waterfall. Where we got 1 hour to swim there and take pictures.

The tour was awesome!!! The hanging bridges and the whole park are great. Carlos is a fantastic guide who was able to show and explain so much to us. It was just fun with him! Our driver Randall was also great and waited for us with fresh fruit and cold drinks at the end of the tour. A big thank you to both of them for this unforgettable day!

Every aspect of the tour exceeded our expectations! Our guide (Pepe) provided a great deal of information throughout the day. He was patient (as was our driver, Jorge) and knowledgeable. Our family (teenager included) would highly recommend this tour!

Our guide was great, he knew a lot about what he was doing and we were able to learn a lot. We even drove to the waterfall, which wasn't even in the description. The only drawback was that we were picked up 1 hour later than planned.
