Marcos is a truly wonderful guide. He is so knowledgeable and patient. He has a very warm and tender personality and he made the tour so much more enjoyable. It was not made clear how many people were going to be on the tour with us and we had genuinely hoped to arrive at the park with a guide much earlier to avoid the bulk of the crowds. But even with the amount of people in our tour and in the park, we still had an amazing experience and saw so many beautiful animals, including but not limited to: an eyelash viper, a boa constrictor, a tarantula, a toucan, a couple of coatis, and a plethora of frogs and birds.
It was excellent! I visited Arenal for my bachelor party trip with 4 other guys. Erica was an incredible guide. We got lucky enough to see plenty of wildlife on our tour - including howler monkeys, several types of birds, a poison dart frog, an extremely well-camouflaged venomous snake, and many other plants and insects. Her genuine excitement and enthusiasm for this job made it a lot of fun. At one point, Erica was walking backward while explaining some details of the jungle, and we were so captivated by her words that none of us noticed where she was walking, and she tripped and almost fell! We were all embarrassed that we were so oblivious, but Erica kept a great attitude and laughed about it. I would highly recommend taking this tour.
