This was an amazing step into the world of Kyoto’s Geiko and Maiko district, Gion. I was simply shocked by how much I didn’t know about the it! Luckily, my guide Ayu was super helpful and knowledgeable about the subject of the tour and honestly about anything I asked about concerning Kyoto and Japanese culture. It was a great time that I can’t recommend enough if you want to know about the area and Kyoto in general.

A well thought out tour around some beautiful parts of Gion that tied in very well with the history our guide shared with us. Ayu-san has excellent English and was able to answer a variety of questions very well. The tour was well paced and not overly taxing. A few stairs to climb around the temple, but no steep hills to navigate.

She conveyed the mystery and enchantment of Gion. She was well prepared and was excited to point out special sightings on our way. Familiar with the history of the culture and made a rainy night enjoyable.

Loving it...it was a very well organized and informative tour. Our tour guide Ayu was very knowledgeable and patient to answer all of our questions.

A very interesting and informative tour. The guide was very knowledgeable.
