Full description

Experience Kyoto's traditional industries of Kyo-Yūzen and Kata-Yūzen dyeing. You can try dyeing techniques inspired by the hand-painted yuzen dyeing of kimonos, which originated in Kyoto during the mid-Edo period. The coloring is done by hand using brushes, and once dry, the dye is set with an iron. You can choose from three different designs and select either a handkerchief or a tote bag to dye. This is a great opportunity to casually engage with traditional culture. Of course, you can take home the item you’ve dyed and use it right away!
