We took the tour around 6pm so it was already dark outside. Our Tourguide welcomed us with a candy and got us to the most interesting parts of gion. We even saw two Maikos and a geiko Unfortunately due to the busy streets it was sometimes hard to understand. And our tourguide really had some speed. Since we were with handicapped people, it was hard to keep up and still enjoy her stories.

Loved my tour guide & the content of the tour itself. It was really informative, I learned so much about geisha & maiko culture. Everything I learned made me experience Kyoto differently — for example, I was able to understand what different signs on buildings meant, to distinguish private, exclusive teahouses from establishments that are open to the public. Absolutely recommend this tour to anyone who is at all interested in learning more about geisha culture and what geishas do.

It was a good tour. The group was very large (20+) and hard to hear at times. Unfortunately there was no opportunity to ask questions either. However the content was really interesting and the guide was great. We were taken to beautiful parts of Gion and were lucky enough to see a few Geisha’s.
