Full description
In a city whose history spans over 1,300 years, there’s far more than just “Top 10” sites that are worth visiting. Far away from busy touristy areas, spend a peaceful day getting to know the true nature of Kyoto, with a private guide just for your group.

Visit Konchi-in and admire this temple's high-level architecture, garden, statuary and paintings in a tranquil setting away from the crowds. At Tenju-an, a temple containing two lush gardens, get the feeling of walking into a forest and stumbling upon a fairy-tale world.

Visit Heian Jingu, one of the highest-ranking shrines in all of Japan. Unbelievably, very few visitors take the time to enter this exquisite garden, one of the most picturesque in all of Japan. Explore the Kawai Kanjiro Memorial house, a free museum that was once the home of a noted 20th-century master potter. Here, you’ll experience a fine example of the wabi-sabi way of design and living.

See Toyokuni Jinja, a shrine dedicated Toyotomi Hideyoshi, one of the most pivotal samurai in Japanese history. Finally, visit Sanjusangen-do, one of the oldest structures in Kyoto and home to 1,001 jaw-dropping golden Buddha statues.
