Full description

What You’ll Experience
Learn the history and cultural significance of the tea ceremony.
Explore tea utensils, their uses, and care tips.
Practice proper tea etiquette and serving techniques.
Enjoy a demonstration of the ceremony's elegant movements and seasonal hospitality.
Prepare matcha yourself to experience the essence of the practice.
Participate in a Q&A session.

This experience is especially recommended for those who:
Have a genuine interest in Japanese culture, aesthetics, and traditional arts.
Can appreciate the authentic taste of real matcha.
Value the delicate flavors of handcrafted wagashi (traditional Japanese sweets) from a long-established shop.

We use only high-quality Uji matcha, sourced directly from a tea farmer whose family has been cultivating tea since the Bunsei era (1818–1831).
The wagashi served are specially ordered from a long-established Kyoto confectionery shop that is a member of the Kyoto Prefectural Confectionery Association.
Following the fundamental principles of the Japanese tea ceremony, the tea is enjoyed quietly in the tea room, without distractions such as looking at the garden or external scenery, allowing full concentration on the tea itself.

Please note: This is not a tea ceremony experience designed merely for sightseeing or social media photos. It is a cultural experience intended for those who seek a deeper understanding.

Includes

  • Experienced instructors
  • Stand for a seated tea ceremony
  • Detailed guidance
  • Original booklet about tea ceremony
  • 2cups of matcha
  • Seasonal beautiful Japanse sweets
