This tea ceremony went beyond anything we expected. From the start, the staff made us feel welcome and guided us through each step with warmth and cultural insight. We were dressed in beautiful kimonos (with help from the lovely staff), and the ceremony took place in a stunning 100-year-old Japanese house. Don’t be fooled by the simple exterior – what’s inside is truly special. We made our own matcha, rang the ceremonial bell, wrote our names in three Japanese styles, and received a personalized scroll. The photos we took in our kimonos were beautiful. made us feel like we had gone back in time. This was one of the best and most meaningful experiences we’ve had in Japan. Highly recommend it to anyone wanting to connect with authentic Japanese culture.
Very good experience. We arrived a bit early and they offered to show the centenary house to us. Then explained the meanings of the several utensils and movements. For someone that loves japanese culture like us, was a great experience. Recomend it!
