After visiting Tondaya, a 140-year-old traditional Kyoto townhouse, you will watch a graceful dance performance by a maiko. After viewing the dance, please try your hand at traditional maiko hand games! Ask the maiko various questions, and at the end of the tour, be sure to take a commemorative photo with the maiko. (We cannot ask for your preference). ※Maiko and Geiko may not be available depending on the date of the tour. Also, the tour start time may be changed. Please understand.

We were really looking forward to this cultural experience and paid $555. Australian dollars for the 2 of us . It was so pathetic as the young man who was meant to translate into English what the Maiko told us could not do so . He was very polite and the Maiko very enchanting but it was if we stumbled into a disorganised farce . I wonder how much everyone is getting paid in this bizarre holiday experience

While the gaiko herself and her English translator did a fine job, this event is really overpriced. Over $200/person for a barely an hour and no tea, food, etc. Just not worth it.
