Kyoto (Keihoku) : Japanese scenic countryside bike tour

We will meet at ”Kotosu”, Shuzan, the center of Keihoku, at 8:30am in the morning. It takes about 80 minutes by JR bus from Kyoto Station, so if you are using the bus, please arrive at Kyoto Station by 6:40am. In the case you miss the bus, you will need to take taxi to Keihoku area which will cost approximately 13000YEN. After the check-in, self-introductions, and a brief orientation, we will depart for the Yamaguni area of Keihoku with our guide on our bicycles. Feel the beauty of the countryside, visit some shrines (including the famous Kamo Shrine) and Kyoto's hidden gem, Josho-koji Temple, and enjoy the unique atmosphere as you cycle through the countryside. Your guide will tell you all about the charm of the Keihoku area, including the history of the area, how to visit shrines, the way of life of the local people, and local anecdotes. At the end of the tour, we will have tea time at a cafe famous for its spectacular farm views. Around 12:00, we will return to the starting point in Shuzan and the bicycle tour will end. You can have a lunch or Sake tasting in Shuzan area before you take a return bus to Kyoto city. The admission fee to Josho-koji Temple and one drink at the cafe are included in the price.
