We absolutely loved this whole experience! Both the older woman who dressed us and performed the tea ceremony and the younger gal who explained everything were genuine and very patient. They really cared that we were interested and wanted us to understand the details and importance of this wonderful building and history.
Hello I’m Enrique and my wife Lizeth. The Kyoto Traditional Townhouse Tour with Kimono & Tea Ceremony was a truly enchanting experience. The beauty of the traditional townhouse, combined with the elegance of the kimono and the serenity of the tea ceremony, made for a memorable cultural immersion. I highly recommend arriving early to fully savor each moment and appreciate the intricate details. What stood out was the generosity of the house owner, who graciously allowed us to stay a few hours later, enabling us to capture the charm of the setting in our own photographs. Additionally, the men dressed in traditional samurai clothes added an extra layer of authenticity and cultural richness. The delicious tea served during the ceremony heightened the experience. I wholeheartedly recommend this tour, and it left such a lasting impression that we couldn't resist, my wife's kimono was so beautiful that we ended up purchasing it from the owner, making our connection to this cultural journey.
