Good experience. Easy to use. Only suggestion is that the conductors know when certain facilities are closed. We hopped off to visit the Palace, it was closed. It would have been helpful if the conductor has told us that before we got off the bus. Also, it was a bit cold. It was not until later in the day where part of the roof was closed.

Takes you round lots of major sights, and there are buses every 30 minutes so it's easy enough to catch one. Staff were friendly and could give extra information about places we passed The only downside was that there was lots of traffic at the end of the loop, so there can be delays

Right from the exit (South) of the station. It is a good plan to visit the essentials of Kyoto, golden pavilion, imperial palace etc ... a little less practical for the silver pavilion. Lets get an idea of the city of Kyoto in a pleasant way. In addition to the headphones available, guide on each bus which gives you details for access. Comfortable buses sometimes not open depending on the weather.
