Meet your tour guide waiting at the base of Fushimi Inari, near the JR Inari station, and set off on your tour of 7 wonders of Fushimi Inari. See some of the well-known locations such as the thousand red gates that line the path up the mountain, alongside some hidden gems away from the crowds that your guide knows. You'll be introduced to the origins and history of this ancient shrine as you start ascending the steps. Once at the main hall, learn about  plenty of small details which are missed by many visitors.  After exploring the main shrine complex, start heading up the mountain and be greeted by lines upon lines of red "Torii" gates that guide pilgrims up the mountain. Your guide will point out and explain the different sites of interest along the path. While most visitors do not veer off the main path, your guide will show secluded sites that are easy to walk past without knowing. The tour will take you to about the halfway point up the mountain, after which you can choose to continue to the top on your own (around a 1-hour hike) or go down with your guide.
