Our guide, Colorado Dave is a great guide. We felt like he was a storyteller every step of the way. He made sure that we were all together and in time. Just we had a 4 year old with us that we pushed in the stroller most of the time and that was not an issue. Just be aware that you will need to walk slightly fast from the meeting point to the train station to get to Kuta Hora station. This means that you should wear proper shoes and bit able to keep up with others. We did not have any problems at all but noted that there were some that were having issues. This tour did not come with lunch, however we did go to a local restaurant together as a group to have lunch that was pre-ordered while we were in the train. The food was amazing! We highly recommend Colorado Dave as your guide!

Colorado Dave was very informative with lots of history tidbits, facts, local language, foods, customs and culture. Luckily there were only 10 in our group so he could share extra bits of info with us and wasn’t trying to round us up to the next site. The bone church was very interesting. St Barbary Cathedral was beautiful! My husband and I loved the train ride, the traditional Czech meal and beers and chatting time with Dave and the other guests. It was nice to get away from the business of Prague!! Colorado Dave has great information regarding other side trips outside of Prague that my hubby and I will definitely do if we ever come back-and for sure have Dave as our guide!!

Take a day trip from Prague to the gruesome bone chapel of Kutná Hora and explore the historic buildings of the medieval town center. During the 6-hour excursion, you will visit all the main sights, including the ghoulish Sedlec Ossuary, and the Gothic masterpiece of St. Barbara's Church. Thanks to the prosperous silver mines, Kutná Hora became the second most important town of the Bohemian Kingdom in the Middle Ages after Prague. Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1995, the town is full of remarkable late Gothic and Baroque architecture. Visit the miraculous Church of St. Barbara, the Italian Court (Royal Mint), and the unique Ossuary in Sedlec, where you will also see Bohemia’s oldest Cistercian Monastery. Learn about the Hussite Wars, and explore the boom days when Kutná Hora competed with Prague economically and culturally to become the favorite residence of Bohemian kings.

The tour though slightly rushed but interesting. Adam, our guide was very good and tried his best to look after everybody. The lunch was very well-organized and enjoyable, the food was very good value for money, this in my humble opinion the tour operator could not claim credit for , it was the restaurant management who had our food and drinks served well within our time slot. The return train journey was not good at all as many of our group despite having been told we would have reserved seats had to stand the entire journey back to Prague. Being mostly adults among the group that may be alright but one lady had her young son with her and the boy had toast and all the way, that is unacceptable. On arrival, Adam apologised and he found out that the rail company did not even provide the specially booked carriage for us, this lies in the organisation and management of the tour operator, it is their task to see that the service providers would honour their contract with the operator.
