What to Expect
Get to know more about Christianity and see famous sites from the Bible as you tour Ephesus on a private, full-day trip. See the places where St. Paul, St. John, and the Virgin Mary lived and worked.

Departing from Kusadasi, make your way to Ephesus, one of the richest cities of the Hellenistic period, one of the 7 churches mentioned in the Bible, and in St. Paul’s day, a strategic mega-city for people who played a significant role in the expansion of early Christianity.

Take a tour of the city, visiting the Grand Theater, the Commercial Agora, the Odeon, the Fountain of Trajan, terrace houses, the baths, the Temple of Hadrian, and the magnificent Celsius library. As each site you will learn about its significance and what happened there.

Then visit St. John's Basilica, the great church ruin that stands over the believed burial site of St. John. After a stop for lunch, visit a small village where locals weave carpets for a living. Then arrive at the House of the Virgin Mary, a site of pilgrimage for many. Finally, you will have time to go shopping in Kusadasi before your tour comes to an end.
