In Aphrodisias, you will visit the City of Aphrodite, the Big stadium, Odeon, monumental gateway and the Temple of Aphrodite. It's the ruins at Ephesus that generally get most of the attention when it comes to the ancient sites of Turkey, but in many ways, Aphrodisias is far superior. The site stretches out over a large area, it's been extremely well preserved and it is easier to immerse yourself in the ancient times because it doesn't have the large tourist crowds it probably deserves. Imagining life in the former Aphrodisias is not difficult here. In Pamukkale, you will see well-preserved parts of ancient Hierapolis, the theater and the Necropolis, one of the biggest ancient graveyards. Pamukkale as a miracle of nature and is famous for its white thermal pools. With such a unique combination of natural and man-made wonders, it's little wonder why Pamukkale-Hierapolis has been made a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After spending all day in Aphrodisia and Pamukkale, you will return back to Kusadası.
