What to Expect
Following hotel pick-up at 9.00 am from the Kuala Lumpur city area, you'll begin your Kuala Lumpur City Tour. Your first stop will be Chinatown, the oldest Chinese settlement in Kuala Lumpur. Divided by three parallel streets, Chinatown is well known for street food, clothing and places of worship. Brick fields is the oldest Indian settlement in Kuala Lumpur, and even though it's occupied by local Indians, Hinduism is not the only religion being practiced in this settlement.
Next you'll visit Istana Negara (Gates of The Kings Palace), the official residence of the ruler of Malaysia. Officiated in 2011, this is a good spot for a photograph with the royal guards and mounted guards.

Then visit National Monument (war memorial); a wonderful site to commemorate fallen heroes from the First World War, Second World War and the Emergency Period. View the spectacular 15 meter bronzed monument made by Felix de Weldon.
Next you'll head to Perdana Botanical Garden designed by Alfred Vennings, which now serve as the `Green Lung` of the city. It's a lovely area to drive or walk through to see the Butterfly Farm, Bird Park, Orchid Garden, Hibiscus Garden and many more interesting sites.
Later visit Masjid Negara (National Mosque). Officiated in 1965, this mosque can accommodate 15,000 worshipers at any one time. A look inside this mosque is determined by the official visiting time arranged by the mosque authority.
Then explore Railway Station and Administration Building (Old Railway Station). Built in 1911 by A.B. Hubback, this building is an architectural wonder. The surroundings will surely transport you back in time.
Enjoy Independence Square (Merdeka Square) where Sultan Abdul Samad Building, Royal Selangor Club and St. Mary's Cathedral make up the square.
Next you'll go to Jadi Batek Gallery (Batik Handicraft Center) to see how a blank piece of cloth is transformed into a masterpiece through the `chanting` process in the hands of a master. Batik is a traditional and official garment of Malaysia. You will also explore the Cocoa Boutique (Chocolate Boutique) where Malaysian chocolate is high quality and comes in many varieties, including chocolate with strawberries, coconut, hazelnut and ginseng, to name just a few.
At approximately 1.00 pm, you'll arrive back at your hotel in Kuala Lumpur city where the tour will end.
