Opt to climb the 272 footsteps to the cave entrance for a remarkable view of Kuala Lumpur sprawling down below. See the world’s 2nd tallest statue of a Hindu deity. Visit during the annual Thaipusam celebrations, and you will joining the millions of people from around the world who gather there to witness the colorful celebrations. I had booked the trip about 2-3 days prior. The online booking process was smooth. My driver, Kevin, messaged and informed me the previous day of the tour that he'd be at my hotel at 9 a.m. the next day and he was on time. He provided useful information about the sites I was about to visit and spoke fluent English. The trip to the pewter factory and Batik factory /showroom was a unique experience. Then I visited the Batu caves, which was good too although one gets the feeling that the place is too commercialized. The only thing that was bad was the scorching heat. Thanks to Kevin for making it a memorable tour.

I visited the following places - Batu Caves, Royal Selangor Pewter factory, place where traditional Batik painting is practised. One thing, the workers at both the pewter factory and batik store are exceptionally skilled. About the experience, my guide Sara i.e. Saravanan made it really enjoyable as he's really engrossed with the job he does and loves plus, it was really engaging and knowledgable to share information when needed and allows you to enjoy some time at every place that I was in. So Kudos to the travel operator for making this experience very enjoyable.

Charlie is a fantastic guide! Perfect english, super knowledgeable, friendly and fun. The tour was exactly as described but also included plenty of extra historical details and local context. Seeing the temple was impressive and well worth the trip. The dress code is real and strictly enforced. The monkeys are adorable but happy to steal from you. Royal Selangor was quite neat and be sure to keep some room in your luggage for the batik clothes.
