The museum was overwhelming! Knossos itself is also very interesting. The latter, however, especially because we had a very good guide, but we had to pay for her ourselves (12.00 pp, with only 2 participants it would have cost 20.00 pp). We actually thought that was included in the price. But the guide, who was brilliant in three (!) Languages, was only responsible for explaining to us during the bus trip exactly where we could find what, where and how high the entrance fees are, etc. Unfortunately, it is not listed very transparently in the tour description . What we saw of Heraklion itself wasn't that great for us, but we didn't have much time for a more detailed stroll through the city either.

A nice trip, as long as someone is interested in history. Well organized, we got information about the pickup, but unfortunately quite late and for a long time there were concerns as to whether it would take place. The bald man-organizer spoke English, Greek, German and French - very polite and helpful.

Well organized, well worth it

George was a great guide (it's more like a tour manager than guide role) - speaking in four(!) languages not counting Greek. The tour gave us ample time to walk around in Heraklion, visit an amazing Archaeological Museum and then brought us to the Knossos Palace where we paid additional 10 euros for a guided tour of the palace. Of course, you can do all of this on your own but it was convenient to do this tour for us as we did not rent a car while in Crete.
