The salt mine tour was really interesting and great place to visit. The only downer was the organisation at the start. When we arrived at the salt mine and given our entry ticket we were told entry was only allocated in 1 hours time, hardly skip the line organisation!This seemed really bad planning as you just sat around waiting. Also we were told the tour could be up to 3 hours which is sofern the to the 2 to 2 1/2 hours advertised. In the end the tour was just over 2 hours so was fine but late start was annoying.

Really enjoyed the salt mines and had a great guide who made it very interesting and fun. Wasn’t too cold, and there is a lot of steps down at the beginning but after that the steps are spread out throughout so it’s not too difficult and lift it taken back on the way up.

We loved everything about the tour except the instructions for returning to the bus after the trip were not clear, resulting in one group of 3 visitors not returning to the bus for over 30mins, leaving all the rest of the passengers sat waiting for them. Visitors should be specificity told after the lift to walk straight back to the bus for departure. The guide in the mine was excellent, and the organisation was perfect. The coach was good with pickup on time and a lovely air conditioned bus. Travel time is only 30mins from old town with about 2.5hrs in the mine. It is definitely a ‘worth seeing’ if you’re visiting Krakow.
