The Wieliczka Salt Mine holds a special place in Polish cultural history, drawing over a million visitors annually to marvel at its intricate carvings and reliefs. Designated as a UNESCO Cultural and Natural World Heritage site since 1978, it remains a top destination for travelers worldwide. The mine's underground chambers are adorned with sculptures and bas-reliefs crafted by miners, preserving their legacy for generations to come. Descend 800 steps into the depths of the mine, where you'll encounter the first underground floor after navigating 350 steps. At the end of your tour, an elevator awaits to whisk you back to the surface.

Fantastic tour, highlight of our trip. Guide was knowledgeable and funny. I had been warned that guides can be hard to hear but no such issues here. Communication was good with tour company too. Thanks again, would highly recommend

Really enjoyed our trip, the minibus picked us up from our hotel on time. The guide at the salt mine was good fun and made it interesting. Lots of walking and steps, you need to be reasonably fit. Toilets and place to buy food half way round, we were in the mines about 3 hours. So glad we did this trip, so much to see, the chapel and sculptures, the history of the mines. Our driver was great, I asked him if he would drop us near Wawel castle after instead of our hotel and he did, top bloke.
