Area that we can't get to is a historical center of Krakow, however we can pick you up from some points around like Plac Matejki or Mikołaja Zyblikiewicza od Mikołaja Kopernika street. If you stay in Kazimierz you can have pickup from Dajwór street. Let us know where your hotel is and we will find the closest convienient place for pick up. Look for a retro vintage car like Fiat 126, Lada 2101, Syrena, Nysa, Uaz or others. You don't need to know how they look like, it will be easy to find them as they are pretty unusual cars on Krakow streets.

Full description

Get an interesting lesson about the history of Nowa Huta and see typical examples of Socialist Realist architecture aboard a Communist-era car. Learn where the large statue of Lenin stood on Aleja Róż (Avenue of Roses), and marvel at the grandeur of Plac Centralny (Central Square). Get familiar with the history of Polish communism by taking a ride in a classic Polish car of that era and visiting bomb shelters that were built around a city in the case of World War III. Take a stroll through the Central Square and Roses Avenue, where Poland's biggest statue of Lenin once stood. See the remains of Socialist Realism architecture and learn more about the urban layout of the city. Discover the city’s huge steelworks initiative, which was the reason for its foundation. Travel through time in either a Polish Fiat 126 model “Maluch,” Lada 2101, classic Nysa, Żuk, or even a soviet army van model UAZ 452. Upgrade your tour to the extended 3.5-hour option and include a visit to either a Cold War bomb shelter or a communist director's offices of steelworks.

End to end, the tour was exceptional. Matthew our guide had a passion for the subject that made our experience all the more enjoyable. His depth of knowledge, coupled with his ability to answer any question we asked was amazing. The experience riding to the Polski Fiat was very evocative, reminding us of driving in the 70’s, with the sounds, smells and its very simplicity (it’s an age thing if you were there you’d understand!!!) We would highly recommend this tour to anyone considering it, you won’t be disappointed! Thanks Matthew a lasting memory of our trip to Krakow and Nowa Huta.

It was a very fine experience to be introduced til Nowa Huta by a guide that know all about the area and was exellent in sharing all his knowledge. The tour is highly recommended as Nowa Huta is difficult to understand on your own. The vintage car gimmick is fine but not the most important part of the tour.

One of the best tours we did during our Krakow stay. Small group, very knowledgeable guide (a local who grew up here), incredibly interesting tour. We did the longer one with visit to Director's office and underground bunker -- well worth it. We were picked up in a small vintage car and taken on the tour. Absolutely delightful. Would highly recommend.
