We booked the tour, which we enjoyed very much but were very disappointed that we could not look round on our own afterwards. You have to book a time slot but if it's a stand alone ticket you can spend as much time as you want in the museum. Whereas if it's a tour it takes about 90 minutes, we got all the information but felt it would have been nice to have a closer look at some of the exhibits. We were told to buy another ticket but declined!

I did the museum on my own. Exibitions explained in English which includes a film about Schindler’s factory. I took my time and spent 3 hours including a coffee in the museum’s cafe. Lots of books avail in various languages about the haulocaust and Auschwitz etc. plus an assortment of souvenirs.

We weren’t off to a good start unfortunately we arrived at 10.10 for 10.20 as we were told but the tour guide from whom we were to collect pre purchased ticket didn’t appear until 10.35. Frustrating that those that queued taking a chance on a same day ticket arrived after us and entered 10mins before! Apparently and issue with tickets. This was not what I expected. Museum was very informative and 100% worth a visit.
