What You'll Do
  • Enjoy a private day trip to Auschwitz in Oswiecim from Krakow
  • Explore the UNESCO-listed Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp
  • Learn about the prisoners who died at the camp
  • Choose between private transport with a group guided tour and a fully private option
Visit Auschwitz, one of the best-known concentration camps in the world, on this private 6.5-hour tour from Krakow. Learn about the terrible history of the camp as you explore Auschwitz I and Auschwitz II with your private guide.
What to Expect
Every year millions of visitors from around the world walk through the gate bearing the fallacious inscription of Arbeit macht frei (work sets one free), following the same route as prisoners for over half a century ago. This private tour includes an introduction to the origins of the camp, its history, and the everyday life of its prisoners.

Your English-speaking driver will pick you up from your hotel and take you directly to the Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum in a private, high-quality vehicle. Then you can choose between two options: joining a group guided tour or taking a fully private experience with a private guide. Please note that the private guided tour is only available on request and it is not available through high season.

The Auschwitz-Birkenau complex was established in 1940 and throughout the 5 years of its inglorious operation over 1.5 million Jews, Poles, Italians, and Frenchman perished here. It should be emphasized that the prisoners of Auschwitz originated from every country in Europe.

The museum was founded in 1947, combining the area of KL Auschwitz (Auschwitz I) in Oświęcim and the Birkenau camp (Auschwitz II) in Brzezinka. In 1979, the concentration camp was designated as one of UNESCO's World Heritage Sites.

It comprises approximately 150 buildings and 300 ruins. The original roads, fences, watchtowers, and railway ramps have been preserved. The buildings house the collection of original exhibits and documents.
