Full description

Book this skip-the-line entrance ticket to Oskar Schindler's Factory to gain a better understanding of Krakow's history under the Nazi occupation. Learn how the history of World War II intersects with everyday life, and the personal dramas of individual people overlap with the wider history of the Nazi Regime.  You'll be greeted in front of the entrance and then move inside the museum. Inside, discover the personal stories of Krakow inhabitants living under the occupation of Nazi Germany for nearly 6 years and get to know more about a person who saved over 1000 lives while visiting his personal office with the symbolic "Survivor's Ark". The original Enamel Factory also known as Oskar Schindler's Deutsche Emailwarenfabrik (DEF) dates back to 1937 when it has been established. Later, Nazi Germany invaded Poland on September 1 1939, and it is believed that Oskar Schindler, a Sudeten German who was a member of the NSDAP and an agent of the Abwehr, arrived in Kraków on September 6 when German troops entered Kraków.

Really fascinating museum. I expected it to be more about the factory, which I think the film Schindler’s list explains very well. Instead it was a great educational tour of war time nostalgia and the build up to war. Really haunting and tasteful displayed.

Wonderful experience at the Schindler Enamel Factory. So much information, exhibits and it gives you a real sense of Krakow before and during WW2, so much we didn't know. Advised to leave 1.5 hours for the visit, we were there for about 2.5 and could have stayed longer! Lovely cafe opposite as well. Took a few moments to work out who to get our tickets from (outside main door not inside) but smooth from then on. Definitely book in advance, many people turned up who hadn't and were turned away as access was sold out.

Very informative. Lots of small videos and one bigger video in a cinema-like room. Incredible if your a history fanatic or are interested in Polands history during WW11. I'm glad I wasn't part of a guided tour though. Don't think I would have had the time to look at/read everything available.
