Full description
Your first stop will be at Plac Bohaterów Getta (Ghetto Heroes Square), where you will be introduced to the history of the Holocaust. You’ll then head to the former Nazi concentration camp of Plaszow on the outskirts of the city.

Opened in June 1942, the site was the main forced-labor camp for the general region of Kraków and later, for Jews from Hungary.

During the guided tour will see the mass cemetery of unmarked graves and the outdoor exhibition, and learn about the history of Nazi concentration camps in Poland during its occupation.

It is speculated that the remains of 8,000-10,000 Plaszow prisoners are still located within the area of the camp. In comparison to other Nazi prison camps, Plaszow has been the subject of very little historical excavation or on-site documentation.
