Our trip was great and our guide was amazing and very knowledgeable
A very long day! Our time table in mid-April went like this: 4:55 Met a little north of old town 6:20 Alight bus at ticketing office, begin queue 8:50 passports checked, tickets acquired 8:50-10:20 break 10:20 Meet on bus 10:30-14:30 Auschwitz II-Birkenau 14:40-15:30 bonus museum (I think because it was free on Tuesdays, but I would have liked to spend more time here! There were many first person accounts and real stories from people living in the area that connected visitors to the tragic historic events) 15:30-16:00 Transport to Auschwitz I and short queue 16:00-17:45 Auschwitz I 17:45-18:05 wait for late people 18:05-19:30 Transport back to Kraków Overall a well organized trip. "Guides" were essentially chaperones but did not guide. The communication from guides about estimated wait times or the purpose of certain queues etc. could have been better.
