For anyone curious about Communist era life in the town of Nowa Huta, this is a fantastic tour. This tour really engages the senses from the experience of riding in the Trabant car, eating a traditional lunch at a milk bar, and having polish pickles and vodka in the living room of one of the apartments. It's a great way to not only learn about life during that time, but to actually experience it a bit. It's educational, yet fun. We did it as a team event with co-workers.

We were picked up on time by our driver in her very noisy Trabant. We then took to the road for our visit to Nova Huta. We got an insight into life there from the 1950s through to the present day as we visited shops, a couple of restaurants and the highlight, a typical communist-era apartment. Along the way we heard about the history of Poland and had a few laughs with our guide. The tour was great fun and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to travellers to Krakow.

Very knowledgeable host, private insight into how things where and what people went through to gain the freedom. True family stories added extra character to the historical information. Friendly, helpful and fun staff. Would do it again, not one to miss!
