Zakopane was crowded that day, but the trip was still amazing, thanks to Jack (his Polish name is Zbigniew). He was incredibly thoughtful throughout our visit. At the wooden house, he shared many interesting stories, and when we visited the local cheese-making place, we got to taste delicious cheese and wine. He even took us to the most charming coffee house I’ve ever been to, with the best cake I’ve ever had. The scenery outside the car window during our travels was absolutely magnificent. I told myself I’d come back in winter, when it must be even more breathtaking. Thank you so much, Zbigniew!

I really liked it. Although I was nervous at first, the tour guide was very understanding and had a good English accent. He explained and explained the places we visited one by one. Unfortunately we couldn't visit the wooden houses because they were closed but I learned a lot about their history. Thank you for this beautiful tour. I would definitely recommend those who want to participate to have such an experience.

Full description

Zakopane is the capital of Polish Tatra Mountains. There is a superb scenery, perfect for winter sports lovers and fans of summer trekking trails. This area also has a characteristic dialect and splendid food. We wil show you a unique wooden architecture and sculptor's house in Chocholow village. Then we will take you to Witow village for local cheese (Oscypek) and spirits tasting. Next we will take you to Zakopane traditional marketplace to buy handmade equipment for your house, or traditional local food. Then we will take you for Gubalowka Hill Cable Car for iconic views of Tatra Mountains. Then you will enjoy some free time at Krupowki main street of Zakopane. Finally we will show you a unique wooden architecture of the region at Chapel of Jaszczurówka and Peksowy Brzyzek famous wooden cemetery (the Chapel and cemetery are optional). You can also choose an option to walk around the area on your own for 5 hours and just do whatever you prefer.

1) Tour to Zakopane from Krakow and back provided by a Tour Host with stops in Chocholow & Witow villages, Gubałówka Cable Car tickets, Local Market visit, Krupowki Main Street walk, lunch & free time included (Optional: Chapel of Jaszczurówka and Peksowy Brzyzek - famous wooden cemetery).
2) Transfer to Zakopane from Krakow and back with 5 hours free time on your own included.

The trip was fantastic despite some unexpected snow. Nice to experience winter again still! My guide was Gregor P and he was very helpful and talkative throughout so I was not bored even though I visited there alone. There was a hassle with some drunk visitors on our way back to Krakow behaviouring rudely but Gregor handled that professionally when he was being asked repeatedly to judge the situation. Overall I enjoyed the trip and thank you again to Gregor for his sharing on Zakopane and Krakow.
