The Auschwitz Tour from Krakow, provided by Mr. Shuttle, was an excellent experience. Our pick-up time was 6 am, and the driver was both polite and professional, ensuring a comfortable journey to Auschwitz. The tour commenced promptly at 7:30 am at Auschwitz and lasted approximately 2 hours. Following a brief 10-minute break, we proceeded to Auschwitz II-Birkenau. This leg of the tour was shorter, spanning about 1 hour. We returned to Krakow around 12:30 pm, making the total duration of the tour 6.5 hours. Overall, it was an outstanding experience. The tour guide offered us insightful information and was open to any questions we had.
I never know what to expect with guided tours, but this one blew me away. Our driver was right on time, friendly, and helpful with any questions we had. It was our first time at Auschwitz and we had a great experience. Our tour guide has been giving tours for 20 years - she was informative and thorough and gave us plenty of time to get through each section to process and to read. I HIGHLY recommend this tour. If it’s a hot day like the day we went, I suggest going early in the morning before it starts getting hot, you will be out in the sun for part of the tour, so bring water. Large backpacks are not allowed but you are able to leave them in the shuttle for the duration of the trip. Another suggestion - book the salt mines tour with the Auschwitz tour if you’re wanting to make an entire day of a visit. Great experience, would definitely book again. Thank you!
