Full description

Depart Krakow and journey to the Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum to explore the largest concentration camp in Poland built by the Nazis. Benefit from the services of a professional guide as you take a poignant tour of both the Auschwitz I and Auschwitz II labor camps. Get a short break for lunch on arrival, and then get shown around Auschwitz I to see the infamous Arbeit Macht Frei sign and some of the administration buildings where the horrors were planned.

Look inside the gas chamber where the Nazis committed their hideous genocide, and see personal artifacts belonging to inmates at exhibitions dedicated to their memory. Benefit from a short 15-minute break before going to the Birkenau camp for a 1-hour guided tour. Discover where the prisoners entered the camp and the wooden barracks where they were forced to live.

Return to Krakow with your thoughts and get dropped off at a place of your choice in the Old Town or Old Jewish Quarter.

There were too many people the day we visited (a Saturday) we wanted to visit Auschwitz to pay our respects & to remind the younger members of our group that an atrocity like this must never be forgotten and must never be allowed to happen again-however there were just too many groups of people and it felt like you were being rushed through-you hardly had time to read the information boards or properly look at things as there was another group of 25-30 people right behind you.

Anna our driver was brilliant. Communication before hand was spot on with good directions to pick up point. Lunch bag was pleasantly surprising with 2 large rolls, chocolate bar, water and fruit. Experience was well organised and our guide around Auschwitz was knowledgeable and gave plenty of time for looking and contemplation. Would recommend

We are very pleased with our experience! The driver was the frendliest person we have ever seen. The guide at auchwitz and auchwitz birkenau os very experienced, and explains the history like she has been there and lived through all of it. We would definetly reccomend this tour to anyone that is eager to visit auchwitz and auchwitz birkenau.
